Retire early and live well – series part one

Don’t let your 401K send you back to work

This is the first of a series of very timely solutions for people who lost a great deal of their retirement income and are threatened with going back to work or continuing to work longer.

I am Robert Shannon, owner of Costa Rica Retirement Vacation Properties. We deal with people from all over the world desiring relocation and retirement in Costa Rica.  I would like to share with you some ideas that fit today’s gloomy economic outlook that I feel will help you considerably.

We are hearing from people that
are devastated and don’t wish to delay retirement
have  lost a large portion of their retirement money
are looking to jump start a new life
want to save their retirement now
are in early forced retirement

A lot of them have money and are worried about future events that will determine their own lifestyles, some are fed up with the horrible meltdown of the mortgage market, some cannot believe this could happen after saving for 25 years and feel violated, some don’t feel either political party can repair the damage and some just plain feel there is a major depression.

If you are a Baby Boomer, the obvious problem is  that if one was looking to retire on let’s say $7000 per month, and that number has been slashed by 50%, then you need to remain in the work force longer in America. That may not be an option in this current economy.

I am very high on Costa Rica of course or I wouldn’t have spent the last 17 years here, but I will try very hard to be as objective as I can in the following series.  I plan to outline a great alternative that could very well fulfill the needs of anyone no matter what their situation is.

Many retiring Americans have been hit hard.  People with excess money who seek a different venue for other reasons but share similar concerns for the future are candidates as well.

Saving your retirement

Costa Rica Retirement remains the number one choice for Americans retiring offshore and rightly so because of the superior, unrivaled amenities the country offers.  (This writer has lived her for 17 years and has traveled to many parts of the world and you couldn’t get me out of here for anything).

Imagine a place where that is totally committed to peace and even abolished it’s army fifty years ago, committed to education, health care and prudent growth, has many different climates to choose from, guards it’s ecology with a passion, a infectiously beautiful country all over, friendly people that welcome newcomers with open arms, has a large middle class, a great infrastructure, ranked number one in tourism in central America, ranked as one of the top 5 Real Estate markets in the world, has more north Americans per capital than any other country in the world, has a solid Banking system that is not overextended and had no investment in the sub prime vehicles that were being hustled throughout the rest of the world. I just described COSTA RICA a very viable consideration for retiring.

Costa Rica Retirement was in the past and remains so today,

Next, I will cover all the things that Costa Rica offers for people considering Retirement or Relocation in Costa Rica.
